Writing Mill grew out of an idea sparked in 2018 when we, Vanessa Gebbie and Cynan Jones, tutored together at Arvon’s wonderful Lumb Bank. Two very different writers with differing approaches to writing. But one shared concern for strong, moving, affecting text.

There was such positive response from our students we determined to team up again. One of those students, David Lloyd, helps with our admin, and writes with us.

 

Since 2019, we have run sell-out residential weekends and, during the pandemic, our first virtual Writing Mill. These were so successful, and so accessible we have decided to work both virtually and face-to-face in future.
